James and Wade at it again as Miami Heat thrash Indiana Pacers 115-83 in Game 5: NBA Playoffs 2012
On Tuesday night at the American Airline Arena, the Miami Heat kept the momentum going as they handed out a 115-83 thrashing to the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semi final series. 
This time around however it was not a two man effort rather a team effort as Miami displayed the cohesiveness that has been missing in this series so far.
The men from the South beach were led by LeBron James who finished the night with 30 points on a 12 of 19 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Dwyane Wade was not far behind with 28 points on a 10 of 17 shooting
night.
Shane Battier hit 4 daggers from long range and hounded David West throughout the night to help the Miami cause and finished off with 13 points. Mario Chalmers chipped in with 8 points and career high 11 rebounds. Joel Anthony
came off the bench to score 7 points while Udonis Haslem also kept the bench scoring alive by chipping in with 10 points.
For the Pacers, Danny Granger and David West chipped in 10 point each. Roy Hibbert also had a very low scoring game, only managing 8 points but he did manage to get 12 rebounds in the game. Paul George managed 11 points on a 3
of 9 shooting night.
Tyler Hansbrough and Darren Collison came off the bench to score 8 points each while George Hill, Leandro Barbosa and Lou Amundson, all managed 6 points individually.
A total team effort from the Miami side was eminent on both ends of the floor; they managed to shoot 61.4% from the field while holding the Pacers to a 33.7% outing. Miami also had a very good conversion rate from beyond the arc
as they managed to shoot 56.2% from the three point line.
Despite being undersized in comparison to the tall line up of the Pacers, Miami gave it their all while cleaning up the glass which reaped benefits for them as they were able to out rebound Indiana 49-35 in the game.
Miami also had their defence on lock throughout the night as they helped each other out with help defence very consistently, they were able to block 10 shots of the Pacers depicting that there are not going be any easy baskets.
This allowed the Heat to rest several key players in the closing stages of the game as they held an ample 32 point lead to finish the game.
