Jamesbo´s Girl tipped to succeed in Yorkshire-outdoors.co.uk Claiming Stakes
Jamesbo´s Girl is likely to claim the Yorkshire-outdoors.co.uk Claiming Stakes at Catterick in England on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She will be up against four other quality runners, who will be fighting for the cash prize of £1,704 in the class-6 event.
The going will be soft in the 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 14:20 GMT. Things will be quite interesting, as most of the runners lack experience and anyone could spring up a surprise in the end.
On the other hand, the track conditions will also be challenging for the runners, which will make it difficult for the punters to choose their favourite. However, Jamesbo´s Girl appears to be in good shape and will definitely be a top contender for victory
today.
The two-year-old filly is new to the sport, as she made her debut in May this year. Since then, she has only participated in three races, but her performances have been decent enough to get the attention of both the bookies and the bettors.
In her first race, the David Nicholls’ trainee was priced 13 to 2 by the bookies and she was expected to fight at the front. This is exactly what she did, giving a tough time to her opponents from the start until the end.
However, the young filly was unable to finish on the top in that event and had to settle for the runner up position by just half a length. She seemed to be in control of the proceedings for quite some time, but ran out of gas towards the final furlong.
A similar run was expected from Jamesbo´s Girl in her next race and she was given a starting price of 11 to 1 by the bookies back then. The track was soft and she was up against some very good runners, thus struggled to fight for the top three positions,
finishing sixth overall.
Despite that, the Refuse To Bend’s daughter did not lose confidence and brought up her maiden victory in her next outing. She was rated as joint favourite in that event and did not disappoint her fans. A similar run will be expected from her at Catterick
under seasoned jockey, Adrian Nicholls.
