Jamestown Prince tipped for victory in Betfred Puppy Maiden Standard Trophy
Jamestown Prince will be looking to cause an upset in the Betfred Puppy Maiden Standard Trophy at Nottingham in England on Monday, November 26, 2012. He does not have any experience of running in a Grade OR contest, but he is still in a very good position
to meet the expectations of his fans.
The race is scheduled to kick off at 20:52 GMT and it has attracted some decent greyhounds. However, all of them are young and do not have much experience of representing their respective teams at the highest level, which will make things a bit interesting
at the end of the day.
Despite that, the race loving fans at Nottingham will be looking forward to the start of action and they will definitely come out in support of their favourite runners. The winner of the competition will be given a cash prize of £150 in the end.
Looking at the performances of Fear Emoski, the bookmakers have given her pretty decent odds for a victory. She will definitely attract a lot of bets today, as there is a chance for the punters to win some easy money over her at the end of the day.
The young hound will be entering the race from trap number two, which will not allow her to attack from the start. She will not be worried about that, as the overall distance to cover is 500 metres. This means that the real challenge will be to save enough
gas in the tank to push harder towards the final few metres.
The C. Lister’s trained b***h has only appeared in one Grade OR contest in her career and the result was not a very good one for her. She was not rated as the favourite to succeed, but was expected to be competitive overall.
However, she lacked the speed to challenge her rivals back then and finished in a disappointing sixth place. Despite that, she will be looking to make a strong comeback today in order to entertain her fans.
On the other hand, Jamestown Prince cannot be taken lightly at all, as he is carrying a pretty decent momentum from some trial events. He has never competed in such an event before, which will put him under some pressure.
