The retired Liverpool defender has admitted that his side is looking to do quick business in the transfer market this time around. The Reds have already secured the signing of Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo for a £7 million fee and reports suggest that the side

Carragher claimed that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has learned from his experience last season and he is looking to bring in players as early as possible. The former defender added that it is a good sign that the club wants to complete the signings
quickly so that the squad settles down before the season starts.
“I'm sure Brendan Rodgers has learnt a lot over the last 12 months and I think he's raring to go this season. I spoke to him at the end of the season and he wants to get his business done early. At the moment it looks like Liverpool are trying to get players
in as quickly as possible so they are ready for the start of the season,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Carragher stressed on the importance of a good start to the season and is confident that considering the fixtures, Liverpool should have a successful start. He stated that Reds can challenge for major trophies in the upcoming campaign.
