Liverpool fan favourite and defender, Jamie Carragher, has hailed Luis Suarez’s impact at Anfield and has claimed that the Uruguayan striker has managed to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 in the heart of millions of the Reds’ supporters.
Suarez and Torres were initially expected to form a formidable attacking partnership at Liverpool. However, the Spanish striker handed a transfer request after learning of interest from Chelsea and the Merseyside club decided to let the former Atletico Madrid
leave the club on the last day of the January 2011 transfer window.
Torres was an iconic figure at Anfield and after his departure many feared that the Reds would be unable to replace the Spanish striker.
However, Suarez, who joined Liverpool on the same eve Torres left for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, was an instant hit at Anfield and showed that he has all the attributes to match Torres’ legacy at the club. The Uruguayan immediately became a Kop favourite after he hugely impressed
in Liverpool’s historic win over rivals Manchester United.
Carragher believes that Suarez’s arrival and immediate impact has proved that there is no player irreplaceable. The English defender said, “The arrival of Suarez showed that no one is irreplaceable at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.”

left by Dalglish.
The English international feels that Suarez’s extraordinary first season at Anfield has won the hearts of Kop fans, who have now forgotten about Torres.
“I am sure the fans who thought it was the end of the world when we lost Torres changed their minds pretty quickly when they saw how good Suarez is. Players come and go here, but the club moves on. That’s how it always will be. I wish Torres all the best.
I know he upset the fans with the way he left but that’s because they loved him so much,” the club legend explained
The English defender believes that Torres should have spent more time under Kenny Dalglish, who has been so influential at Liverpool since his arrival.
“I think he’d have loved playing under the gaffer because he knows what makes a forward tick,” Jamie Carragher concluded.
Luis Suarez scored four goals in 13 matches for Liverpool last season and expectations are sky-high going into the new season.
