Retiring defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jamie-Carragher-c17728, has hinted that he may take a coaching role at the club in a few years time. He has been touted to become a manager in the next few years, as he has
all the traits to become a successful tactician. However, this will not happen in the near future, as Carragher has taken the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Neville-c14447 and will
provide his analysis on Premier League games in the next campaign.
Carragher claimed that he will certainly miss the game. The defender played his last game for Liverpool against Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 at Anfield and was given a stunning farewell by the supporters this weekend.
The 35-year-old refused to rule out a coaching job in the future and claimed that he will miss his teammates and the game. He added that he will never be away from the game and the closest that he can get to
the game now is through management or coaching.
“I am sure I will (miss it). I love the dressing room and getting yourself up for big games. There is nothing better than being successful and achieving things with your mates - they were great times for us.
It is very difficult to replace that whatever job you go into. The closest is probably coaching and managing so I suppose if I do miss it so much I will look to get back in at some stage,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers stated that he will definitely miss the player as he was a great leader and a rock at the back. The former Swansea City boss hailed the player’s performances
and is delighted with his displays this season.
“There is no doubt if you are a footballer with the passion he has you are going to miss it. You are never going to take the football out of him,” he concluded.
