Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012: Inbee Park eager to continue her winning streak on LPGA
South Korean Inbee Park, who won the Evian Masters 2012 in grand style, is gearing up to participate in the coming Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, with an aim to continue her winning streak.
The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) tournament is set to start from August 9-12, at Highland Meadows Golf Club, Ohio, featuring past winners and most of the prominent players on the Tour.
It remains to be seen whether the South Korean star is able to continue her winning streak when she tees off this Thursday at Ohio, but she has gained plenty of confidence due to her electrifying success in
France a couple of days back.
Analysts said that her better-than-anticipated performance in France saw her beat top-ranked LPGA contenders and it shows the sheer power of her nerve and solid work ethic.
Although the French crowd wanted a European player to win at the Evian Masters, explosive performance from Park, although an Asian contender, made them pump her up — and she finally outrivaled every player
on the leaderboard.
Park may find it a little difficult to continue her stunning form in a field packed with players like Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer, current world number one Yani Tseng, Na Yeon Choi, Stacy Lewis, Cristie
Kerr, Ji Young Pak, Vicky Hurst, Brittany Lincicome, I.k. Kim, Amy Yang, Brittany Lang, Laura Davies, Mika Miyazato, Natalie Gulbis and Ai Miyazato.
No matter how tough the roster may be, the 24-year-old star is eager to show her rivals that she is not easy to beat. Some analysts have said that the current year will see Park earn more victories, as she
is in her best from these days.
Her last victory was recorded at the 2008 US Women’s Open. Speaking to the media in one of her interviews, Park said that she had been down and out since her triumph at the 2008 US Women’s Open, but she is
feeling much more confident now.
She said that her victory at the Evian Masters has made her believe in herself and her game. She hoped that the coming events will be as easy for her as the Evian Masters 2012 was.
