Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012: Inbee Park fires 65 to tie for second position in second round
South Korean Inbee Park was more than happy on the second day of Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, as she fired an impressive 65 to tie for the second position along with two other contenders.
Park got off to a sensible start at the tournament as she carded a 69 in the opening round, at Highland Meadows Golf Club, Ohio, however, she displayed an even better game on Friday outperforming nearly all
the contenders.
Although the weather conditions troubled players as strong wind whipped through the course throughout the day, Park was one of the few players who stood their ground and kept moving ahead by scoring well.
Starting the round on the 10th hole, Park looked firm to boost her position on the leaderboard. She parred the 10th and shot a birdie on the 11th. She then drained birdies on
the 13th, 15th and 16th hole.
The South Korean star started the second phase in an impressive style as she parred the first hole. The hole proved a little troublesome as wind made it hard to adjust to the conditions. The LPGA (Ladies Professional
Golf Association) titan could have surprised her fans by draining a birdie on the very first hole, but she did her best to avoid a bogey as strong wind played havoc all day.
Park amazed the American spectators when she shot two back-to-back birdies on the difficult par-3 second and par-4 third hole.  She then parred the next six holes to card a 65 for the round.
Speaking to the media, the South Korean superstar said that her game was far better on Friday than it was on the first day of Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012. She said that everything — from putting to swing
— was great helping her consolidate her position on the leaderboard.
“I think everything went well today.  I hit the ball great.  I was able to hole a lot of putts today.  Yesterday I left some out there.  But today the greens were rolling a little bit better than yesterday
afternoon because it was a little bit bumpier yesterday.  So it was good,” Park said.
When asked how she thinks her game has changed in the current season, Park said she is satisfied with her performance at the moment and hopes to keep the momentum going.
