Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012:
Christina Kim can prove worth on the LPGA

American Christina Kim will be trying to make up for her past lapses when tees off at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, slated to be held from August 9-12, at Highland Meadows Golf Club, Ohio.
Kim came close to winning the last edition of the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic after she moved into playoff along with South Korean Na Yeon Choi, Song-Hee Kim and In-Kyung Kim. However, Choi outperformed her rivals
and walked away with the title.
Kim might have come to terms with her narrow defeat at the hands of Choi in 2010, but the coming edition of the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) event can be lucky for her, provided she plays a natural
game and avoids making lousy putts like she did two years back.
Analysts said that the 28-year-old golfer will try to impress her fans at Highland Meadows Golf Club, as the American crowd is expected to support national players.
The LPGA titan was expected to enjoy a breakthrough season on the LPGA Tour, after her explosive performance at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2010, but spent most of the year struggling to prove her mettle.
Analysts added that Kim is now firm to make up for those missed chances by tasting a victory at the coming edition of Jamie Farr Toledo Classic and winning over the local crowd.
They also pointed out that struggling American golfer may have been overshadowed by LPGA giants like Stacy Lewis, current world number one Yani Tseng, Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer, Na Yeon Choi and Cristie
Kerr, but she has what it takes to trouble rivals.
Kim has recorded two LPGA victories so far. She first won the Longs Drugs Challenge in 2004 and then The Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions in November 2005.
In addition to proving her mettle on the LPGA Tour, Kim has also recorded one victory on the LET (Ladies European Tour). She won the Sicilian Ladies Italian Open in October 2011.
“The LET is a fabulous tour. They have great competition. The women are incredible - so many young, beautiful, fantastic girls. They are so multi-faceted, they can do so much even beyond golf,” Kim said.
