Jamie Redknapp believes Liverpool’s Luis Suarez will leave his mark in Premier League
Former Liverpool player turned football pundit Jamie Redknapp has heaped praise on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s new acquisition Luis Suarez and believes that the Uruguayan is destined to become a legend at Anfield.
Redknapp has tipped the Uruguayan to achieve cult status not just at Anfield, but in the entire Premier League, much like Manchester United legend Eric Cantona.
Speaking on Luis Suarez’s form for the Reds, Redknapp said, “Luis Suarez is an Anfield No 7 legend in the making. Forget about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 taking time to adjust after a big move, Suarez has made it look easy since arriving from Ajax. He reminds me of
Carlos Tevez; he's a real pocket rocket, who plays with a big smile on his face.”
Redknapp added, “I think he'll prove to be a great acquisition for the Barclays Premier League, not just Liverpool.”
Luis Suarez joined the Reds in the final days of the January 2011 transfer window for a reported fee of around 20 million pounds. Though the Uruguayan carried a fearsome reputation with him from Ajax, much of his spotlight was stolen by the big money moves
of Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll.
The former left the Reds to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 on the final day of the transfer window. Torres has so far failed to spark for his new employers; however, Luis Suarez has not had a problem in settling in at Anfield.
The Uruguayan has already achieved an instant-hero status among the Reds faithful thanks to his heroics against archrivals Manchester United. The striker created two scoring opportunities for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348 during that encounter, an effort which ultimately saw
his side walk away with a 3-1 victory.
Suarez is turning out to be more of a bargain for Liverpool every day. He continued his deadly form against Sunderland in the Premier League encounter held over the weekend, scoring a fantastic goal after weaving past the Black Cats’ defence. It has left
Jamie Redknapp wondering what Suarez can achieve in the seasons to come.
Liverpool are currently in sixth place in the Premier League standings.
