Jan Durica urges Lokomotiv Moscow to focus on Zenit St. Petersburg tie after Spartak Moscow defeat
Lokomotiv Moscow defender, Jan Durica, has urged his teammates to move on after suffering a humiliating 2-0 Russian Premier League defeat against arch-rivals, Spartak Moscow, at Luzhniki stadium.
Lokomotiv will now travel to St. Petersburg for the crunch league clash against Zenit St. Petersburg. Durica revealed that the Russian outfit is their for taking, assuring the fans of an entertaining display.
The Slovakian defender lamented the recent defeat and admitted that it was a painful derby loss. However, the promising stopper revealed that there is much more to come from his side and tipped his side to claim a decent spot before
the winter break in the Russian championship.
“We know that Zenit are at the top spot in the standings but we need to remember the second-round match against them, when we were losing 0-2 at halftime, and eventually managed to win. So we need to prepare for the game and fly
to St. Petersburg with a triumphant mood.” The former Saturn Moscow Oblast player was quoted as saying.
Lokomotiv have climbed up to the second spot on the UEFA Europa League group table after a comprehensive 3-1 group stage win over AEK Athens. Durica is of the opinion that the domestic league is somewhat different from the European
tournament and tipped his side to work hard for the upcoming league match.
“We need to play more aggressively, follow the instruction of the coach and refrain from the mistakes we made against Spartak. It is necessary to enter the field with confidence and fight till the end, till the last minute of the
match.” Durica concluded.

The promising defender is of the belief that the Lokomotiv are emerging as an unstoppable force and it's only a matter of time before they start winning silveware again.
