Janome Embroidery B Hoop: letters poorly done at ...

Question

In the last third of arm extension with the B Hoop the letters become less defined-- the stitches fewer in density. Is this hardware or Edit n' Stitch software causing this? I've run various letter font tests with software and get differing results of quality but the quality overall remains poor the closer the letters are stitched to the edge of the hoop .
