Janome MC 9500 error message "Lower presser...

After lowering presser foot the error message is still on the screen. The machine refuses to sew!!A few weeks ago the machine was running on after I stopped sewing, but it seemed to fix itself. Now this has happened.What could the problem be?Any help please, Thankyou
