Janome Memory Craft 6600

Question

A Warning Sign came on...[Cause: The power is turned on without the foot control being connected. The foot control is disconnected while sewing.] Neither of these had been the case, but I did have the machine unplugged and totally disconnected for a time. I did what it said to do....connect the foot controla nd restarted the machine. No go. I jiggled the connection. No go. I waited several minutes to turn it back on. No go. Labor day weekend...sewing to do, and I am sure the shop is closed tomorrow. Can you help?
