January 29 i have volleyball tryouts but I'm not good in volleyball and I am out of shape. What should I do?

  1. there is not that much running in volleyball,i play.if you want to get in shape get out there and run.

  4. I am sorry but if you knew that volleyball tryouts were this month you should have conditioned yourself much earlier. I do not know your school's reputation for this sport but it not going to be easy regardless. From now on, diet and exercise. practice with people who've been on the team at your school. your school must also have a conditioning period. check it out.

  9. i would run around a track at a local school  or a loop in your nieghborhood everyday.  One of the most important moves is a bump so try it with a neighbor or family member or against a wall.  Also practice your serves.  You could try serving into you nieghbors driveway if you had room.  You need to have strong arms to get the ball over the net.  Try pull-ups, but personally push ups hurt my wrists but you could do those.  A good muscle for all sports is abs so try doing some leg lifts.  For your leg excersises try doing wall sits and for calves hop back and forard over a line of some kind on one foot.  And, of course, eat healthy atleast two or three days before hand.

    PRACTICE makes perfect have friends or family scrimage you and bump,set,spike,serve, and dig it!

  13. If you're not good, and you're not in shape, you need to show the coaches why they should pick you.    

    The only thing that you've got going for you would be attitude - and that can mean a lot to the right kind of coach.

    Keep this in mind and you may have a chance...

  14. Jump rope, For my team we jump rope for about 5 mins. everyday before practice, you can run, but that isnt the right muscles you will be using during the game. So jumping rope would the best way. I would do 100 straight, then rest for a min, then 50 cross overs then 10 double jumps. Do that twice a day, and increase the amount everyday.

  15. quick start running and conditioning ur self but practice everyday and if u have a friend that lives by who plays volleyball and knows the basics quick ask 4 help and practice

  16. Bring your HEART to the try-out.

    Before that day, watch, ask, learn & practice. Even if you don't think you have the skill, it's okay because joining a team is where you start to learn the game.

  17. Start working out regularly and start practicing volleyball with your friends. Squats are a great way to get ready for volleyball, and just passing the ball back and forth with your friends helps too.
