January Transfers: The Best Ranking Mid-Season Transfers to Come – Part 3

Jérémy Menez
Jeremy Menez is a 23-year-old French Footballer who currently plays for Roma in the Italian Serie A. He has been linked with a transfer to several clubs this season.
He began his career with CA Vitry’s youth academy in 1994, and after moving through three youth academy’s he made it to Sochaux’s academy in 2001.Three years later, in 2004, he forced his way into the first team squad.
After two seasons with Sochaux, during which he made fifty-five appearances and scored seven goals, he moved to Monaco in 2006. He spent two years at Monaco, and scored 14 goals in 57 games for the club.
In 2008 he got his big break, when he signed for Roma. So far Menez has scored five goals and has represented the club 51 times.
Menez plays predominantly as a left-winger. He has also been a part of the French national team, starting from the under-sixteen team, and then making his way up the ranks to the U-21 side, eventually he made it into the first team squad of the national side in 2010.
He has played only two games for his country so far, without scoring a goal, but given his potential, there is a lot to come from this player. Menez is good with both feet, and is known to score crucial goals. He is thought to be a tactician on the field, and can read the game well, even at such an early age.
With Menez’ ability, it comes as no surprise that Manchester United have shown interest in the French man, and they believe that his presence will bring more diversity to the squad and improve the overall game play of the team.
 
Keisuke Honda
Keisuke Honda is a 24-year-old Japanese footballer who currently plays for CSKA Moscow. He started his youth career with Gamba Osaka in 1999, and after moving through another academy, finally made it in the big league with Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2005.
He stayed with his first club for three years, scoring 11 goals in 90 appearances, and then he moved to VVV- Venlo in 2008 for a year. He had an impressive tally of 24 goals in 68 games playing as an attacking midfielder.
In 2009 he finally made the move to Russian side CSKA Moscow, and has played twenty seven times for the club, scoring four times in the process.
Now the player is up for grabs, and rumours suggest that he will make a move in January. He showcased his talents in the summer at the World Cup in South Africa while playing for the Japanese national team.
He joined the national squad in 2005 at the under-twenty level, and then progressed rapidly through the U-23 team before making it into the Japanese first team squad in 2008.
Since then he has represented his country 28 times, scoring six goals. He is very adept at playing his position and performs his duties very effectively.
Honda is expected to make a move to either Liverpool in the English Premier League or AC Milan in the Italian Serie A.
His time with the Russian side has not gone as well as he had hoped, but many pundits believe that it is time for a change for this player, as he needs to try his luck in other places.
