Nicklas Bendtner
Nicklas is a 22-year-old Danish striker who currently plays for Arsenal. He prefers to play in the centre forward position, but is currently being deployed on the right side by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
He started his career at Tarnby Boldklub’s youth academy in 1992. After moving through another academy, he made it to Arsenal’s youth academy in 2004. After spending only a year, Bendtner broke into Arsenal’s first team squad in 2005.
Since then he has made 87 appearances for the gunners and has 21 one goals. He was also sent on loan to Birmingham City in 2006-07, where he scored 11 goals in 42 games.
He has also been a part of the Danish national team since the under sixteen level in 2004, he then swiftly moved through the youth ranks to make it to the first team squad in 2006.
Since then he has represented his country 35 times and netted 12 goals. With the arrival of Maroune Chamakh in the Gunners squad, Bendtner seems to have been sidelined, and it is presumed that he will make a move in January.
Also with Robin Van Persie fit again, his future at the Emirates seems a little bleak, and Nicklas is definitely not going to see much first team action any time soon.
German Giants Bayern Munich have shown an interest in the 22-year-old, as they are desperately in need of a powerful striker. Italian side AC Milan has also been reportedly keeping a keen eye on him, but nothing is clear yet as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger won’t allow the player to get out of his grasp.
Hulk
This is a 24-year-old Brazilian with the nick name Hulk, and he currently plays for Portuguese side Porto.
He started his youth career with Vilanovense in 2001, and moved through two other youth academies he made it to Vitoria in 2004.
Then he was loaned to Japanese club Kawasaki Frontale for a year in 2005, after which he moved back to Vitoria. He made only two appearances for the Brazilian club, before being sent on two more loan spells to Consadole Sapporo and Tokyo Verdy.
Ultimately, Hulk made a move to Tokyo Verdy in 2008. He scored seven goals in 11 games for Verdy before moving to Porto in 2008.
Since then he has found some stability, as he has been playing there for two years and has an impressive tally of 24 goals in 54 games.
His real name is Givanildo de Souza, and he is an absolute gem in the Portuguese league. It is rumoured that he is now going to make a move to the English Premier League and this is where he will shine the most, using his skills and immense physical presence.
The Citizens have been linked with a move for the player, but the fact of the matter is that almost every player on the market has been linked to them.
Still this Brazilian has a good scoring record, and if a move does materialise, it will be a big blow to Porto.
