  1. Naruto

  2. Well, what is most popular may not always be the best. I think AniDB's choices for Top 10! animes are pretty good. However it's hard to find them because they're not shown anymore (too much flaming from Naruto fans). The ones I could find (and did watch) are Mushishi, Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, Death Note, Nodame Cantable. A few months back Seirei no Moribito and Planetes made the top, not to mention that Spirited Away won the Oscar and it's still not in the top 10.

There are other good ones out there but it depends on what you like. I say take a look at the Anime-reactor community awards. They usually chose good anime http://forum.anime-reactor.net/viewforum...

  3. Try Full metal alchemist it was voted by the japanese as best anime of all time according to Wikipedia. Also try GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) about an ex motorcycle gang member who is determined to be the greatest teacher in high school. He also teaches his kids that life's most important lessons are learned outside the class room. It was so popular it was turned into a live series and the live series final episode was the most watched japanese program of all time.

  4. Naruto

    Bleach

    Death Note

    Dragonball Z

    Sailor Moon

    Pokemon

    Those ones are HUGE

  5. Well there are a few that are really popular right now in Japan one of them is Death Note as you know, but there are others that are really popular too, like Naruto,Bleach,Fullmetal Alchemist,Inuyasha, and Runouni Kenshin. All of them are really good anime's/manga's.

Here is a description of what each is about.

    Naruto:

The show takes place in a world populated by ninja villages. The ninja in the series serve as the armies for the countries that inhabit the world. Most of the countries have their own Hidden Village, which serves to train and manage the ninja of the country. Also the ninja in the series are able to utilize jutsu techniques, which are the secrecy, body and illusion arts of the ninja. These allow the ninja to perform many amazing skills such as the manipulation of the surrounding elements.

The main character of the series is Uzumaki Naruto, a young boy who dreams of becoming the leader of his Hidden Village. It will be difficult though for Naruto, because when he was a baby an evil demon was placed inside him to stop its rampage. As Naruto grew the townspeople saw Naruto himself as the demon, even though he was merely its container. When the series begins the reader and viewer will begin their journey with Naruto on his path to become respected by the village.

    Bleach:

The story opens with the sudden appearance of Rukia Kuchiki in Ichigo Kurosaki's bedroom. She is surprised at his ability to see her, but their resulting conversation is interrupted by the appearance of a "hollow", an evil spirit. After Rukia is severely wounded while trying to protect Ichigo, she intends to transfer half her powers to Ichigo, hoping to give him the opportunity to face the hollow on equal footing. Ichigo unintentionally absorbs almost all her powers instead, allowing him to defeat the hollow with ease.

The next day, Rukia appears in Ichigo's classroom as a transfer student. Much to his surprise, she appears to be a normal human. She theorizes that it was the unusual strength of Ichigo's spirit that caused him to absorb almost all her powers, thus leaving her stranded in the human world. Rukia has transferred herself into a gigai — an artificial human body — while waiting to recover her abilities. In the meantime, Ichigo must take over her job as a Soul Reaper, battling hollows and guiding lost souls to Soul Society.

    Fullmetal Alchemist:

After losing their mother, Alphonse and Edward Elric attempt to bring her back using the forbidden science of human alchemy. However, alchemy operates on the theory of equivalent trade, and breaking the human alchemy taboo carries a heavy price. Ed loses his leg, and Al loses his body. Ed is able to seal Al's soul inside of a huge suit of armor, at the cost of his arm. Years later, Ed (now with two mechanical limbs) and Al (still trapped in the armor) leave their childhood home, each brother concerned with the other's happiness. Ed, who has a natural talent and skill for alchemy, becomes nationally certified and is soon known everywhere as the "Fullmetal Alchemist." Their true objective is to search for any information on the fabled Philosopher's Stone, hoping it will allow them to regain their old bodies. All of their hopes rest with this mythical stone, which may not even exist at all. However, the brothers soon learn that they are not the only ones after the powerful stone.

    Inuyasha:

Higurashi Kagome, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inu Yasha (also after the jewel's power) to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.

    Runouni Kenshin:

Himura Kenshin is a vagabond with a dark past and sunny disposition. Not a ronin but a rurouni, he was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration, who in the turning point of the war simply walked away. His travels lead him to Tokyo in the 11th year of the Meiji era, where he befriends a female Kendo master, a former thief, a brawler and a doctor all with their own secrets. Together they fight off the enemies surfacing from the dark past that Kenshin cannot escape.

  6. Inuyasha and Naruto are two popular ones

  7. do not i repeat do not watch pokemon

naruto is currently the number one manga i dont know about anime

FMA (full meatal alchemist) was voted best all time manga in 2003 which was some time ago  now

i love naruto and it is one of the best but death note is also a fairly good one i loved it before light finaly was caught and had to give up the book for a moment after that i hated it

but FMA and naruto are two legends

inuyasha use to be my favorite but i grew out of the sappy romantic stuff

inuyasha has a horrible plot really repetitive and you wont feel like finishing it after awhile youll be like d**n why doesnt rumiko know when to finish her d**n mangas she just drags it on and on

the eneimies seem to appear out of no where and it gets really old

DBZ i of course an anime legend dude if you want epic thats where its at the only thing that rivals DBZ is naruto and im not even sure who takes the cake just because of how different they both are

thou naruto has a much better plot and the time line is better put in order

as you may notice in DBZ there are alot of s***w ups it seems that every situation is just an excuse to enter into a fight many things dont add up where as in naruto every thing adds up to a t and althou the fighting styles between the two animes/mangas are vastly different naruto is also epic

also DBZ seems to have a lack of intellectual dialouge what i mean by that is theres a lot of screaming during fights besides stratigizing and and talking

where as in naruto the charecters stratigize and talk to one another during the fight which may sound boring i promise it will suck you in man  there attacks have something that they do they counter and stuff like that

but in DBZ they just throw power balls and pound each others faces in

in action i dont know which one wins but in over all story naruto takes the cake as #1 all time best anime/manga

  8. in the mangas, naruto is top 1, but i say naruto is also top 1 in the animes
