I know the wifi network is better there so I hope to use that, but, is there any software or anything that will make my life easier for connecting?

  1. No special software needed.  Hotels have wifi or internet connection on the telephone in the room.  JR stations and airports have "hot spots" where wireless connection is possible.  Some coffee shops also have wifi.

  2. i dont think so. Most places in japan have wi-fi especialy in hotels. So just ask the front desk for help. If they don't have wi-fi then they have a computer for you to use. They are about 100 yen for 10 mins. Its really cheap.

  3. Well,you shouldn't have a problem with connecting,especialy if you go to japan,becuase of a connections tower.

  4. Many Japanese hotels have free wifi or ethernet (wired) internet access.  However, outside of hotels, there is almost no free wifi around.  Additionally, the payment/registration pages are likely to be in Japanese only.  If you are staying at one of the better hotels that is frequented by tourists, there should be at least some English-speaking staff that can help you get it set up.

  5. Yes I would guess so
