We are moving to Melbourne later this year. I have a Japanese wife and a five year old who is bilingual. I want to try and make sure he keeps up with his Japanese and was trying to find any bilingual primary schools. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

  1. The Japanese School of Melbourne caters for both primary and secondary school students. A number of mainstream schools (Heathmont SS, Gardenvale SS and others) offer Japanese as a foreign language, but JSM seems to be the only bilingual school.

  2. If you can't find a primary school that teaches Japanese, you may want to consider the following: Victorian School of Languages - http://www.vsl.vic.edu.au/LangInfo.php?L...

    Good luck

  3. I have several friends that are western - Japanese couples.

There are some good schools for Japanese community in Melbourne.

I will get back with more info in a day or 2 ... or email me
