I asked this Q in the Travel>Malaysia section but got no relevant answers. Note: Yoshinoya, Teppanyaki, Sushi King, Genki and Sakae Sushi do not count. I want a place similar to Shogun in 1 Utama New Wing, and like Jagoya in Starhill.

Tell me how much you paid or if you know the price per pax? Also, what was your experience there - satisfied with food?

  1. There used to be one in Midvalley but they closed it down i have no idea why. I love japanese food too :)

since u mentioned it, I am now dying for a good sashimi and a huge tray of hana sushi.

  2. I don't think there are any Japanese buffet restaurants in Bangsar/MidValley area, sorry..

Your closest bet would probably be Shogun. Alternatively, if you don't mind central KL, there is Saisaki (sister to Shogun) in Wisma OUA2, or Shin-Nichi at Kompleks Antarabangsa (both are near KLCC). Check out the prices for both at the links below.

Shogun, Saisaki & Shin-Nichi all have more or less the same standard, format, menu and pricing, altho Shogun has the largest variety. For a satisfying dinner though (discounting the cost), Jogoya is probably the best.

ps. if you're interested, i read recently that Benkay Restaurant at Nikko Hotel (central KL) will be having an all-you-can-eat promo for friday dinner and lunch & dinner on weekends for RM88++. Call the hotel to check it out & confirm? Best of luck!

  3. wow...next week I will be at the Shogun :)

  4. i don't know la
