Japanese exchange... Hosting help?

I live in Blenheim, New Zealand and i'm getting a 14 yr old boy from tokyo to stay at my house for 10 days. What are some fun things i could do with him or take him somewhere he may be interested in. he speaks little english and i speak little japanese

  1. The boy is coming to NZ to experience its culture. Please take him to a place where he can see what he cannot see in Japan.

    Or let him do what he cannot do in Japan.

    I don't know so much about NZ. So I cannot tell you specific example.

    I don't think language matters much.


  2. Safetiness is most important for hosting foreigners.

    It depends on individiual character because some young Japanese lived in Tokyo love outdoor sporting but most of them are not customed  or even hate instead.

    They often tend to be stuck on play TV game or watch animes, Mangas etc all day long.

    It is also early Spring there and might not be good period for outdoor sporting such as camping, horse riding, swimming, cruizing, fishing, cycling and/or shooting.

    I think It would be very nervous experience for you to host un-communicable young Japanese there.
