  1. "yukata" is better. But, whatever you want.

  2. Since its the Summer, most people would wear a yukata. A kimono is to heavy and hot to wear in this weather and people don't wear them during Summer festivals. It's perfectly fine to wear your normal clothes though :]. I've been to the Bon Festival recently and I wore a yukata to be more traditional as I'm Japanese but I saw many people, Japanese and non-Japanese alike not wearing traditional clothing but rather their day-to-day clothes. Just wear what you feel most comfortable in.

Hope I helped and have fun at the festival <3

  3. yukata is what most people wear to festivals and firework displays

  4. in this kinda weather, definitely wear a yukata. too hot to wear a kimono... u can also wear anything u want. it is more traditional to wear a yukata though... but ur own clothes is fine =)  there WILL be people w/ their own clothes and not yukatas so dont be afraid
