  1. I love Japanese food. Sushi and sashimi are my favourite, but they are made with raw fish so maybe it doest like you at hte first.

Japanese are usual to drink green tea, jasmine tea or japanese beer, but the english beer is better.

At the ent of dinner you can taste sakè, I like it very much.

    W Japan!!!

  2. Honestly, if you normally drink rose wine, STAY AWAY from sake!  However, you will absolutely enjoy plum wine that is at most japanese restaurants. Also, maki rolls are much a much safer choice for a "newbi"  you might want to try some sashimi, salmon, yellow tail, tuna, and shrimp are my favorite, have fun.

  3. Relax and enjoy yourself....you can order any type drink you like.....try the sake but it is an aquired taste...kinda strong and bitter...try some salmon stuff crabmeat, octopus, california rolls, .....if sushi bar there, go and ask sushi chef for recommendations...sometimes they allow you to sample also.....talk to wait staff if in doubt about what to order......Have  nice evening

  4. hot tea (ocha) and have teppyanyaki. They cook it on the grills right in front of you. You can get chicken, shrimp, steak...and you can order sushi as well...different kinds...ask for a california roll and go from there,

  5. Try some sushi or teriyaki dish and sake (rice wine) to drink if you get the chance. If you are unsure what to order just asking the waiting staff for a recommendation.Have fun x

  6. behave as you would at any resteraunt.

I recomend Miso Soup to start you off (white miso with tofu is best [for me anyways])

for desert i recoment tempura icecream or green tea ice cream or mochi!

For your main dish try yakiudon or yakisoba =]

i grew up eating japanese food, but these are what i grew up on. hope it helps

  7. japanese restaurants serve all sorts of drinks

sake is an acquired taste, a bit like strongly alcoholic dish water in my opinion. try it, but make sure you have something else to drink if it doesnt suit yout taste

sushi is nice and it is wrong to think that all sushi contains RAW fish.

if in doubt - ASK - all good waiters love to talk about the food. show interest in the food and the culture and be friendly to the waiters

be excited about the food. be enthusiastic. be curious they wont think you're dumb - not only will they give you good advice, they will also make sure you get the 'best' dishes.
