You know how characters run in Japanese animes? With their arms pulled behind their backs? Do people really do this in real life? What are the benefits? I know aerodynamic... but is it practical?

Thanks

  1. i dont think people actually do it (i havnt really done much ninjitsu) but it would put ur center of balance i litle bit furtheur back so u can lean further forward so keep lower. you would also minimize the sounf you make because you are not moving your arms.  thats the only reasons i can think of to do it.

  2. There are a number of running and stepping skills in traditional Ninjutsu the only reason to run with your hand behind you would be to steady a sword or something hanging from your back. Other than that its a cartoon thing.
