I recently went to Japan and bought a high priced item. My receipt had a stamp affixed to it on the bottom with a small price of 200 yen. What does this stamp mean?

  1. The meaning of stamp differs from store to store. It's better if you tell me which store you bought the products and how much you spent.

I don't think it's the entire nation matter.

  2. its revenue stamp♥

when people buy more than 30000yen item, sometime the stamp is affixed.

i cant explain it well...because i cant speak english. lol ^-^

  3. It is revenue tax stamp and nothing else good for you. No harm to you either.

  4. Even though I have been to Japan five times, I have never seen such a receipt. I can only assume therefore, that the small price of 200 yen represents tax.
