How would you say "I can't wait to see Tom" in Japanese?

Would it be "tomu wo miru koto ga matenai"?

Thank you.

  1. Your sentence is gramatically correct (except for the missing honorific) and would apply in the situation where there is an urgent danger and having to wait before you could meet Tom would aggravate the situation (for example you have to see Tom and make sure his body has not been taken over by alien invaders who are seeking to destroy our planet). In that case, you would scream at Tom's secretary "Tomu-San wo miru koto ga matenai!!!!"

If you just mean that you are pleasantly anticipating your next chance to meet Tom again, then it would be more Japanese to say:

Tomu-san ni au koto wo tanoshinde iru. (I am looking forward to meeting (=seeing) Tom)
