I have a peach tree in my back yard. Never had any problem with them lil suckers till now. They r not bothering my plants just the peach tree out back. The poor tree looks almost ghostly clinging to death becuz of them zombie peach eaters. LOL

Is there a way to easily get rid of them ? Other then buying the bug bags and spray ?

I love my yard, and I work too hard for them peach eaters to come and invade it. The tree been here way long before we move in. But Iam tried of see them destroy such a tree like that. Then again after the tree gone. Would they start on my plants ?

  1. Where do you live?  Japanese Beetle are a quarantined pest in much of the U.S.  Perhaps your local agricultural extension office would be curious to hear about your findings- if it really is JB.

  2. OK, for this year, go to a garden center and see if there is a liquid spray you can apply to the tree to kill the bugs on it, and hopefully keep them off.

But, for next year, the key to getting rid of Japanese beetles is grub control--they are grubs (larvae) first.  Read up on what type of grub control product is best for your grass type and your location, then find out when to apply it in your area.  You may need to recruit your neighbors to join this effort, too--the key next year is prevention!

  3. Traps my dear, traps.  You can get them at your local garden supply and they do work.  Next year, start placing the traps in the spring when the blooms start.  This willkill them off early.  I put them in with my roses and liliies and no harm was done this year to my flowers, but the traps were full.

  4. get  a bird feeder, Birds will come to eat the beatles after they finish eating seeds at bird feeder.
