  1. I personally have owned both 4 honda's and 2 Nissans and I just bought a 98 corvette and I have to say American cars are best when it comes to speed but Japanese car for reliability. Nothing better than a American V8

  2. I hope you know most american branded cars aren't assembled in america right? they just want to say that so you'd think your supporting your country by buying from them (dont trust me? go to your local chevy or dodge dealer and look at the sticker).

Anyways, i have to say im pretty proud of ford for stepping up their competition. As of right now, im partial to american cars just because they've come a long way.

yes, im guilty of loving german cars, but hey who doesn't?

Next time im out in the market for a car, im pretty sure im going to go for the Ford Edge Hybrid in 2010.

Yes, i'll be supporting an American name, but most importantly, i'll stay away from that j*p c**p that everything thinks is so great.

Whats the fun in driving a rinky dink toyota corolla? yeah yeah its good on gas but thats the only thing its good for.

  3. I don't rule out any manufacturer until I test drive all of the vehicle I am interested in.

I typically pick Japanese vehicles because they look better inside and out and are typically more reliable (depends on the model).

  4. if your talking about used cars from the last ten years no doubt Japanese cars are better.

but today the lines are not so clear with many vehicles being assembled in the US.

and many new American cars are better than the models from a year or two ago.

Buick and Ford have improved 100%.

GM has 10 totally new vehicles coming out next year.

  5. Since I am Asian, I usually buy Japanese cars, because they are dependable and don't break down. American cars have improved a lot these days, mostly the mid-size sedans like the Mercury Milan and Saturn Aura. Otherwise, Japanese cars dominate in the reliability section. But American cars are also more durable and sturdy. I also read a magazine article in Car and Driver and it said that Japanese brakes are far worse than American brakes. Really, it depends on your preference, because both kinds are good.

  6. Hey, look i love my country and all but i bought a 2006 chevy colorado when i was 18 ( 2 years ago) and it was c**p for the price, just like ALL american vehicles. The economy or government keeps telling us to buy from here so we can support our own. But honestly all american cars do is $crew you over ( sorry for that but thats how i feel)....with eevrything the government tries to make more money  and americans have such poor quality that i will NEVER buy one again....i will but a honda or toyota, the real quality stuff......PEACE

  7. Japanese are more reliable, there is no basis for comparison.
