Jarno Trulli hopes Lotus bring an updated power steering system for Hungarian GP – Formula 1 news
Lotus driver Jarno Trulli has said that he hopes his team brings an updated power steering system in their T128 car for the Hungarian Grand Prix that will be held after the upcoming German Grand Prix.
Trulli has had a power steering issue from the start of the 2011 Formula 1 season and is hoping to get rid of the problem before the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Italian mentioned that he is struggling during his races with the power steering issue. He admitted that he still feels uncomfortable with his car’s steering.
Lotus team has made several changes and developments in it, but they have been unsuccessful to fix this problem for Trulli in the season so far.
The team driver discussed the power steering system issue and mentioned, “I said straight away that I cannot really set up the car or judge the car. So if someone asked me what's going on in the car I always say I don't know - I'm just trying to drive what
I have but I cannot give any feedback to the team. It's a bit frustrating but that's the way it is at the moment.”
The 36-year-old driver went on to add, “I don't really care about this. What I do care is that I have struggled sometimes to enjoy what I am doing, more than thinking about the future. The future we will see, the team knows what I am going through. They
know why sometimes I am quick and sometimes I am not.”
In the recently held British Grand Prix, Trulli retired from the race due to an oil leakage issue in his car after completing 10 laps. His teammate Heikki Kovalainen also retired from the British Grand Prix due to a gearbox issue in his T128 car.
After a disappointing race weekend in Silverstone recently, the Hingham-based outfit is busy and trying to fix all the problems for the remainder of the season.
