Not in the foreseeable future.  He got close once, but that's as close as he'll get for awhile. I do agree that HE deserves one though.

He should, and he better. Franchise, maybe. He has the most idiotic  teammates. (They blamed this years playoff loss on Iginla saying ,"He was doing it all, so i figured I didn't have to.")He deserves way better. The fact that Iginla has  said "he is never leaving calgary--he wants the cup to be here", just melts my heart. Best player inside and out. Go Iginla. If he ever leaves calgary, i'll pratically support the team that he's on: thats how much of an impact he has on (some)Flames fans.

Nobody deserves anything. They EARN IT!!!!!!    He is a lousy leader, and shows poor sportsmanship. He plays dirty when he cant win, and embarasses his team with his silly penalties he takes. He is an individual talent, but will never get a group of guys to follow him, because they will never repsect him as a player.

I don't really see why not.  Calgary has an interesting team, all star forward and good all around forward talent, all star defense man, and decent all around defense man, and an all star goalie.  Yet they can't make it work.  I would love to see Iginla win a cup i've never seen a player as classy as him or as deserving hopefully the Flames can make it work.

I hate to break this to you... but Calgary might be going to end up like Toronto. They have too much money tied into few players under long term deals. If they don't get it done sooner than later.... just look across the country at the "center of the universe" and cry.

12 players under contract for next year....nearly all the rest are UFAs. Calgary has A LOT of work to be done.. expect to see a brand new team next year.
