Jarrett Jack not bothered by Miami Heat rumour

The Miami Heat are reportedly looking to trade for a point guard that will bolster their campaign this season, and team president Pat Riley is interested in acquiring Jarrett Jack, who immediately
said that he's not thinking about Miami's interest in trading for him.

The 27-year old and former Georgia Tech standout, who is averaging eight points, five assists, and four rebounds per game this season, said that he is not bothered by the talks and reiterated
that he’s focused on the Raptors’ campaign this season.

"I’ve heard about it," Jack said. "I can’t control it and it doesn’t bother me at all because I can’t do anything about it. It’s just people talking. I’m here with my squad."

According to reports, Riley is willing to offer second-year point guard Mario Chalmers to a lottery-bound team for a spot-up shooting point guard, and the Toronto Raptors' point guard is
on top of their list.

However, Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo downplayed the possibility of dealing Jack, who has displayed flashes of brilliance in their first three games.

According to Colangelo, Jack is a key part of their team because of his competitiveness, providing the leadership that the Raptors sorely lacked in the past few years.

Jack opened the season with an impressive performance against the New York Knicks, where he racked up 16 points, six assists, and four rebounds.

The Raptors will instead try to deal point guard Jose Calderon, who is a better shooter than Jack, but the Heat aren’t expected to bite and absorb his big contract because of the Spanish
guard’s injury and defensive problems.

Riley is also interested in acquiring Daniel Gibson from the Cleveland Cavaliers, but a deal is unlikely to happen after Cavs team owner Dan Gilbert declared a war against LeBron James, after
the two-time Most Valuable player bolted out of Cleveland to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami.
