Jarrit Van De Velde beats Rowan Geers to claim Men’s Singles title at Tots Tornooi 2012
Belgium’s spirited player Jarrit Van De Velde showed a wonderful performance on court and claimed Men’s Singles title after defeating Netherlands’ Rowan Geers in the final battle at Tots Tornooi 2012 on Sunday, December 23, in Belgium.
The impressive Jarrit Van, who showed his class in all matches of the tournament, played with impressive precision and remained successful in winning the final encounter against his higher ranked Dutch challenger who was third seeded player in the main draw.
Belgian shuttler cheered his home fans by playing to his maximum potential and remained successful in throwing his rival out in the final battle as he ended it up in straight games with a controlled margin on the board.
On the other hand, the higher ranked Rowan tried his best to play dominating badminton but he failed to create any trouble for his un-seeded local challenger and eventually lost the final match without winning any game.
Jarrit Van showed a wonderful aggression on court from the initial points of first game by building a remarkable pressure on his opponent.
The tempo of the rallies was quite fast in first game and Jarrit Van impressed local crowd with his incredible skills.
