Jasmine Green Tea?

My mom's friend told my mom that she should drink green tea because she can lose weight. When i hear this, i didn't believe my mom's friend. I just wanted to know if i drink green tea, would i lose weight or not?

  2. It is an antioxidant, and therefore flushes out your system and increases your metabolism....However, green tea alone will not be much help without a good diet and exercise

  3. Just adding green tea to what you eat and drink will not make you lose much weight. The caffeine in the tea will increase your metabolism, but not by much.

    For reference, if you drink four cups of green tea every day and eat like before, you will lose about five to eight pounds in a whole year. That is a very inefficient diet method.

    The appetite suppressing properties of green tea are also not significant, because the hunger will return with a vengeance an hour after you stop drinking the tea.

    However, green tea is very well suited as a dieting aid. The way to use it is to drink green tea instead of sodas or other beverages that are sweetened or otherwise high in calories. That way, you drink a very healthy tea (green tea is very good for you because of the antioxidants), and you reduce your intake of unhealthy drinks. That will make you lose weight very quickly.

    That is what I hate about claims of so many weight loss products. They tout their product as the only thing you need. Some things work OK by themelves but simply are suppose to work with the simple notion of eat less, exercise more.

    These things, green tea included, that do make a difference will stop working in a while becuase most people do not eat less and exercise more. They expect their miracle ingredients to do the work for them.

    Green tea is a grood appitite suppressant and increases motbolism. It has plenty of antioxidants too. Used with a good weight loss program and with other products it is very effective in aiding the goals sought by people wanting to shed some weight.
