Jason Dufner confident going into the Deutsche Bank Open
Even though Jason Dufner did not participate in The Barclays at Bethpage but he is still ranked at number 6th in the FedEx points list. The 35-year-old has been in good form this year throughout.
He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and has eight top-ten finishes in the nineteen starts that he has made.
Jason spent last week at home, getting some rest and preparing for the Deutsche Bank Open.  It has been quite a busy schedule for him this year, so he decided to take some rest before the all important playoff in Vegas.
"I feel good after the week off, had a nice week at home just resting, getting ready for this stretch run of last three events," he told.
The event tees off at TPC Boston on Friday and quite a few people will be having a close eye on him, especially the Europeans, as the Ryder Cup is coming up.
Dufner made it to the team via automatic qualification spot. This will be his rookie year, as he has never played in the Ryder Cup before. However, there would be a whole bunch of experienced players around him to take help from.
Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley, Webb Simpson, Zach Johnson, Matt Kocher and Phil Mickelson will all be there. So adjusting to the pressure should not be a problem for him.
Dufner is really looking forward to playing at Vegas. He feels that his body is re-energized after the weeks’ rest and now he can perform at his peak level.
"Just took the week off. If I would have played last week I would have had to play eight of nine weeks through the Ryder Cup, which is a lot of golf, and I felt like just the way the schedule kind of broke down, it was a good week to take off last week,
and looking forward to kind of peaking towards the end of the Playoffs and rolling into the Ryder Cup".
Taking a break in the middle of the events can help big time, as players gets a chance to re-energize and re-think their strategy for the upcoming tournaments. Jason stands a good chance at the Deutsche Bank Open. Let us see what he comes up with.
