Jason Dufner does well in 2012 season
American professional golfer, Jason Dufner, was one of the leading players on the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour during the 2012 season.
The American star turned professional back in 2000 and plays on the PGA Tour.
With four professional wins in his twelve-year professional career, the American has had one of the most successful and consistent rounds of golf during the course of his 2012 session.
He has won two titles on the Professional Golf Association Tour.
The 35-year-old golfer used to play on the Nationwide Tour before he entered the professional arena.
The American has had a pretty decent run of form on the major championships in recent times.
In 2011, the American star came close to claiming his first PGA Tour title but he could not manage to claim the first place as Brendan Steele got the better of him.
During the major championship, Dufner was tied for a lead with the eventual champion, it seemed as if lady luck was not favouring the American.
After a decent display on more than halfway through the course, things started to get out of Dufner's hands. Then one bad stroke of luck followed after another and cost the American the championship
title.
After a successful 2011 season, Dufner came into the next season with a lot of high hopes and momentum.
He was expected to perform in the following season, and lived up to the expectations by putting up a decent show in most of the tournaments he participated in.
Dufner won his first tournament on the PGA Tour by clinching the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where he defeated Ernie Els. The tournament was not easy picking for the American as he was
faced by a stiff challenge from the South African golf professional, Els.
The match went into playoff where Dufner outperformed Else, and as a result, lifted his first PGA Tour trophy.
Dufner qualified for the Ryder Cup team as well by consistently performing well on the tour.
Although the title win tally does not do justice to the highly talented American, it is fair to say that he will definitely be a force to reckon with in the 2013 season.
