Jason Dufner wins Byron Nelson Championship, should Tiger Woods marry again?
Jason Dufner is back in the headlines once again with his second consecutive PGA Tour win. This guy has been patient and calm with his career and after his marriage, his career is looking pretty smooth.
Dufner turned professional in 2000 and kicked off his career. The start was not promising at all as he failed to win any major title on his name and proceeded without winning any.
He failed to stand in the top-ten PGA rankings and was almost invisible throughout his starting years.
In 2011, he grasped an opportunity to achieve his first PGA Tour title at the Waste Management Phoenix Open where he failed to win against Mark Wilson.
2012 was the year Dufner was waiting for. This year brought him the prize that he ought for almost 12 years.
In April, he won his first PGA Tour title by beating Ernie Els, nicknamed, “The big easy”, in a sudden death play-off.
This victory was long awaited and brought the right amount of ignition Dufner required for his career. This win got him to fall in the world’s top 20.
After his first PGA Tour win, he did not settle with the win and eyed the upcoming HP Byron Nelson Championship. His stroke play was a sight throughout the Championship and earned him the final spot against Dicky Pride.
Dufner over powered Pride and won his second PGA Tour title in a time of three weeks prior to his victory in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans against Els.
His final shot was a 25-foot birdie which got him his second PGA Tour win in style.
After his marriage, things have switched for the struggling golfer. His play-offs have improved and the multiple PGA Tour wins speak for his after marriage performance.
“You couldn't dream it any better, the wedding has been in the works for close to a year, so we know that's been coming around the corner. There's been a lot of good golf since then, but to win two events and get married in the span of 22 days, pretty remarkable”
said Dufner after his second win.
Dufner has achieved a milestone after a long time and his hard work has paid off. His marriage has boosted his karma which is quite obvious with his consecutive PGA wins. He is aiming for the stars now as he has gotten the taste of victory.
Marriage has done the trick for Dufner, Tiger Woods, on the other hand, should think of getting married again as he needs a miracle to get his form back.
