Kyle Korver and Jason Kapono are not quite identical after all.

Korver is closer to a shooting version of Mike Miller because he has been an all-around player for years - still remember how he led Creighton? Despite with average quickness, Korver remains a little underrated defensively.

Kapono is a typical spot-up shooting, or a less aggressive version of Adam Morrison (because he can't slash). He is still the same defensive liability as we have seen since his days in UCLA, plus he can't do much little things other than shooting.

Between the two, Korver is obviously better.

I agree with you. Both have similar style of play and role to their teams.

Here is how I see it:

Jason Kapono is the better shooter.

But....

Kyle Korver is more significant to his team than Kapono is to his team. Korver has made more impact to Utah Jazz than Kapono is to the Raptors. Remember, the Jazz had an amazing record after acquiring Korver.

But the thing is, Korver has played more minutes than Kapono which maybe is why Korver helps the team more. Maybe if the Raptors play him more, he could match Korver's stats and help the team more.

If Raptors stil doesn't play him much, he should go to a team like the Suns, where he would be a significant help.

Kyle Korver seems to be the better player. Only because he gets more minutes with the Utah Jazz, which means his skills are showcased more. He releases the ball very quick, and he can drive in the lane well, and his FT percentages are tops.

Pretty similar in position, function, and even contributions. Kapono seems like having less contribution, but he made some impact during Raptors playoff run this year. I will take Mike Miller over them for passing skill and slashing skill.

Korver contributes more since Kapono doesn't really get much minutes.  I think Korver is better all-around but Kapono is the better shooter.

Both are similar players, but are on different level teams thus the impact is more or less for both of them even though they have a similar playing style..

Korver the better all round player..

Kapono would own him in a 3pt shootout though..

Definitely Kapono he can shoot the three all day but thats all people think he can do, so that gives him a slight advantage cause people think hes hanging around the 3 point line all day. He also makes amazing cuts inside and is very active defensively, he takes good shots and doesn't jack up anything unless it's a good look. Korvers stats aren't nearly as good as Kaponos
