Jason Kidd, Ruben Patterson: An overview of the NBA Players’ arrests (Part-5)
Jason Kidd:
Jason Kidd recently won the National Basketball Association (NBA) trophy with the Dallas Mavericks. He is renowned as an extreme hard-worker who never showed any loop holes in his entire professional basketball career. He has almost spent 17 years in the league and over the years, he has earned the respect of not only his fans, but also his contemporaries.
In such kind of article in which we are discussing about the arrests in NBA and players who have been involved in such kind of bad activities where their potential arrest were essential, no one will think about the inclusion of Jason Kidd in to this list. But on the other hand, it’s true that he too has been involved in the past in such kind of activities where police have cautioned him over domestic violence. Kidd had a troubled time with his previous wife, who often created a situation by calling police and accusing Kidd of domestic violence.
Although, Kidd was never sentenced to jail for those accusations, but player like him still faced utter shame whenever he came out in public.
Ruben Patterson:
Former NBA player Ruben Patterson has been involved in many reprehensible accounts and arrested over those acts. His entire professional basketball career was marked with those disgraceful acts.
Ruben Patterson spent almost eleven years in the league and played for six NBA teams. He also played for two overseas teams in Lebanon and Greece. He made his way in the NBA in 1998 when the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him second overall in the 2nd round of NBA draft. He then went on to play for the Lakers, the Seattle Super Sonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Los Angeles Clippers.
The first facet of his controversial personality was exposed to the media when he registered himself in the United States of America as a s*x Offender. His registration as a s*x offender had a background as he was accused of raping a nanny in 2000.
Later, Patterson was involved in misdemeanour assault over a man who scratched his car in Cleveland. His actions were investigated and he was arrested by the police in 2001. The next year brought more humiliation for him as he was involved in a domestic abuse with his wife and was arrested by the authorities. Patterson was also involved in several DUI cases and altercations.
