Jason Kidd: Best performances this post season for the Dallas Mavericks - NBA Playoffs 2011 (Part-1)

The Dallas Mavericks’ Jason Kidd has shown consistent performance in this year’s playoffs. His individual performance has also helped the Dallas Mavericks to advance that far in the Championship. The Mavericks have now qualified
into the National Basketball Association (NBA) finals and they will be playing against the Miami Heat in the finals.
Jason Kidd not only performed at upfront, but he also played wonderfully at back end of the court.  Kidd played six games in total in the first round of playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers. He averaged 11.7 points, 4.8
rebounds and 6.5 assists per game against the Blazers in all those six games.
In the very first game of their playoffs’ campaign against the Blazers, he loudly expressed his lethal intentions for the upcoming encounters. Kidd finished the game with 24 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Dallas
Mavericks.  The Dallas also went onto to win the game 89-81 as the Mavericks took the 1-0 lead in their best of seven series.
The next game was at American Airlines Centre in Dallas where Kidd again helped his team to take advantage from the low performance by the Blazers. The Mavericks defeated the Blazers 101-89 while Kidd played tremendously in the
second half of the game as he posted all first nine points by the Mavericks in the third quarter. He scored four rebounds and eight assists in the game.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks looked confident with two consecutive wins over the Blazers, but the Blazers made a comeback and gave a hard answer when these two teams met in the next encounter. They Blazers overpowered the Mavericks
97-92 in their third playoff game. Kidd was not so influential in that particular game and scored only eight points.
However, the Dallas Mavericks soon recovered from their bad form and went on-to win the first round series 4-2 and qualified into the Conference semi-finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kidd scored 70 points, 29 rebounds and
38 assists in first round.
Jason Kidd and his dependable ball play helped the Dallas Mavericks in the Conference semi-finals against the mighty Los Angeles Lakers. The Mavericks’ guard Jason Kidd played his role on the offensive side and especially down
the stretch when defended the Lakers’ superstar Kobe Bryant brilliantly and never gave too many open opportunities to Bryant. Kidd gathered seven points and game high 11 assists and three steals against the Lakers in their first game of Western Conference
semi-finals. With this welcome victory the Dallas Mavericks took an early 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.
