Jason Miller decides and officially announces to leave the octagon once and for all – UFC News
Jason Miller, the former UFC heavyweight brawler who is infamous for his unique and quite bizarre appearances, has recently announced to retire from the sport of mixed martial art after collecting a loss from C. B. Dollaway at UFC 146: Junior Dos Santos
vs. Frank Mir pay-per-view.
Miller, 31, can be dubbed as an unsuccessful belligerent who has not enjoyed his career in the sport to the fullest. With an impressive start in the Ultimate Pankration 1 promotion of mixed martial art, Jason has reached inch close to grab the apex divisional
title but was always unlucky to collect it.
Also known as ‘The Mayhem’, Jason has been in a total 33 bouts and has emerged victorious in 23. The Las Vegas hailing belligerent is a submission specialist who has nailed 14 of his opponents by making them submit via lethal submission manoeuvres.
He has collected five knock out and four decision wins as well and was recently going through a bit bad phase of his career. Jason was entering in his bout against Dollaway with a resume exhibiting two losses, two wins and one no contest decision.
In other words, the bout was a decisive one as Miller was unable to prove his worth to Dana White and the UFC fanatics. During his last bout, Miller strived hard to grab Dollaway in any of his submission grips but failed to do so and in that attempt did
not connect considerable number of jabs or strikes.
As a result of this upset, Jason lost the bout via unanimous decision and after that in a recent interview formally announced his ‘adios from UFC’ to the media. Miller stated, “Yeah, I said I would [retire] and so I am. I didn’t get the job done and that’s
what I’m saying.”
Jason when asked as to how he feels at the moment commented that he feels relieved as a continuous pressure of satisfying people’s demands is off his shoulders. Jason stated, “I feel free and I know that sounds strange when I’ve devoted my entire life to
fighting, but I feel like my life is unlocked for a whole other set of adventures. I can focus on making myself happy and I don't have the pressures of a commissioner chasing me around with a p**s cup or the pressures of everyone verbally abusing me for my
missteps via social media. I feel like a weight is lifted.”
Miller did not put forth any future plans but one thing is for sure the UFC fanatics will miss the unique costume ring appearances that always sealed a smile on their faces.
