Jason Miller forfeits to Michael Bisping at TUF 14 Finale – UFC News
The 31-year-old American mixed martial art (MMA) fighter Jason Miller has recently revealed he was afraid while fighting British MMA fighter Michael Bisping at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 Finale.
The event was held on December 3, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada where Miller lost the fight after Bisping knocked him out with his punches in the third round.
According to reports, Miller has openly stated that his fight against Bisping was a difficult one where he could not focus on the bout and kept on his back foot for the entire length of the brawl. He also mentioned the word “freaking out” while talking to
the media recently. It is true that Miller had freaked out because Bisping was riding a three fight winning streak. Miller also had a two fight streak but it was the British fighter who created fear inside Miller’s head when the two stepped in the ring.
Prior to their meeting at TUF 14 Finale, Miller was seen and heard talking about how he would defeat Miller. He used the word “brutalise” at one point when he stated his intention of beating Bisping with a huge margin. These facts went down the drain when
Miller came face to face with Bisping. Miller’s excuse for getting his focus off balance was an interesting one indeed. He blamed his shaky stance to the fact that it was his first fight of 2011 and he had not stepped in the ring after Dream 16 which was held
in September 2010. Many critics have taken this statement by Miller a desperate act to hide his embarrassment for not beating Bisping.
Miller recently gave an interview to a MMA website where he said, “I'll admit that. It felt weird walking out there. I didn't feel like my normal self, and it really showed. I couldn't get relaxed, couldn't perform to my potential. And I'm not taking anything
from Bisping, but it was definitely not my best performance.”
After TUF 14 Finale, the CEO of UFC, Dana White was also appalled by the way Miller turned out to be the weaker fighter in his bout. According to White, it was one of the most one sided fights he had ever seen in his life. This was certainly true because
Miller did not show his true side against Bisping. In the third round Miller was put down by some serious blows which Bisping had to offer. Now Miller has openly accepted that he was not in his natural form and hence faced a big defeat in his career.
