Jason Richardson wants to be a part of a championship contender – NBA Special Report
Orlando Magic’s veteran shooting guard Jason Richardson will be one the top players who will be targeted in this year’s free agency.
The National Basketball Association is experiencing lockout at the moment with no definite answer of when the league will come out of the situation. However, whenever the work stoppage ends, free agency will take place immediately
and all eyes will be on the versatile Richardson, who has officially indicated that he wants to be in a team where he can fulfil his dream of an NBA title.
"I want to go to a great place for my family. I've been blessed by God to play in the NBA for a lot of money. I'd like to go someplace that has a chance to win a championship. I probably have five or six seasons left in the NBA,
so I want to go somewhere I can stay." Richardson said.
Jason, 30, still has a number of good years left and he wants to be around with a title contender team and furnish his resume with a championship ring before the retirement.
Here are few teams that can be the best option for Jason.
Chicago Bulls
One of the major shortcomings that hampered the Chicago Bulls in toppling the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals was a second scoring option. The team was heavily reliant on the All-Star Derrick Rose. The Bulls are definitely
looking forward to add up some strength on the offence and the franchise would like to have the prolific shooting guard on the roster.
Bulls are one of the most suitable options for Jason and at Chicago; he can accomplish his goal for a title in no time. In fact, the Bulls might become the NBA champion the next season if they can bring in Richardson or some other
consistent scoring option in their line-up.
Dallas Mavericks
The NBA Champions Dallas Mavericks is another option for the two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion. The fact that facilitates his entry even more is that Butler has been struggling with injuries and played only 29 games in the 2010-2011
season. The Mavericks might be interested to have an established offensive threat on their roster in case, Butler fades away.
Orlando Magic
The 30 year old Jason can just go with the option of re-signing with the Orlando Magic. In order to convince the big man Dwight Howard to stay in the team, Orlando will be taking some constructive steps to transform their team
into a championship contender which is also what Howard is looking for as well. One of the major steps includes strengthening the supporting cast of the team as the franchise is looking forward to land a dynamic player. With the presence of another prolific
player on the roster, Richardson and Howard will gain a substantial support which will guide the team for an NBA title.
