Java Cup officials to take legal action against Everton

The organizers of the inaugural Java Cup, which is scheduled to be played in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Indonesia-c2922, have threatened to take a legal action against the Premier League outfit Everton, following the Toffees decision to pull out of the event.
The Merseyside club had committed to feature in the tournament, initially alongside the Turkish club Galatasaray, Indonesia XI and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Malaysia-c2949 XI. However, following the withdrawal of Galatasaray from the competition, Everton had reportedly expressed their
apprehensions over the tournament plan, and on Tuesday decided not to feature in it.
However the CEO of LPIS, the organizing company of the Java Cup, expressed his shock over the Toffees exodus at the eleventh hour, claiming that he recently met representatives from Everton and they had given him no clue whatsoever about their plans of withdrawing
from the tournament.
Nonetheless, LPIS supremo revealed that his company was planning on taking a legal action against Everton, and threatened to sue the Premier League club.
While talking to reporters, he said: “As of [Tuesday] night, we were still discussing with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 and we didn’t have any impression that they would pull out… We will take legal action as we’ve already made full payment to them.”
He also played down Everton’s reason of withdrawal that they were unaware of their opponents in the competition, insisting that the club had assured them of their commitment regardless of their opponents.
The lawyer of the LPIS, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-c29254 Mbaya convened a press conference on Wednesday to shed light on his clients’ position. He revealed that they sent a letter to Everton, seeking their reply on the reasons behind their decision of pulling out of the competition,
but they failed to produce it before the given deadline time.
He said, “We have transferred the full match fee to Everton…We've asked Everton to provide answers regarding their withdrawal. There was no answer past the deadline we provided at 15:00. Therefore, we are planning to sue through CAS.”
LPIS had earlier admitted the Uruguayan side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nacional-c39984 as a replacement for Galatasaray. However, the tournament has now been engulfed by uncertainty, given the lateness of the Toffees withdrawal.
