Javed Miandad not to happy with the present talent in Pakistan – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Miandad-c66580, the former Pakistan captain, has slammed the national cricketers for their lackluster performances at the highest stage of the game and feels that the current pool of players does not seem hungry to achieve success for the country.
The former cricketer from Karachi has worked multiple times with the Green Shirts as their coach and is considered to be one of the finest cricketing brains in Pakistan. Miandad was an integral member of the 1992 World Cup winning squad under the leadership
of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-Khan-c64237 and many believe that he has been the best batsmen produced by the country in the last six decades.
Javed, while speaking to reporters, expressed that he has always played for the sake of the country and is ready to take up any role with the national side; however, the former middle-order batsman is not too positive about the available talent in Pakistan.
“I played cricket with passion for my country and am always available to serve Pakistani cricket. There is a lack of talent in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 at the moment,” the former coach said.
A number of sporting pundits are of the opinion that the Pakistani batsmen should seek help from the legendary sportsman but Miandad revealed that no player in the current side has come to him for help.
The former captain claimed that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556, who is arguably the best batsmen of the modern era, contacts him for advice regularly but it is unfortunate that no Pakistani benefits from his valuable experience. Instead of criticising the officials all
the time, Miandad urged the media to expose the non-professional behaviours of the national cricketers, who are taking things for granted.
“No batsman from the current Pakistani setup has come to me and asked for advice. I am a respected man, I will not go to players and just keep on advising without them asking,” Miandad added. “Sachin Tendulkar and other world great batsman come to me for
advice and I am willing to help our players too if they come to me. The media always criticizes the cricket board but they should also criticize cricketers.”
