Javed Miandad to discuss job profile with PCB chairman Ijaz Butt

Sources within the PCB have stated that the former cricketer, who is also serving as the director general of the PCB has been asked by the chairman to meet him today, to chalk out the terms and conditions under which Miandad will work as batting consultant.
"Miandad will inform the Chairman of his decision tomorrow, particularly if he is willing to go to New Zealand with the team or even work with the players in the national camp being set up in Lahore from Wednesday," a source within the PCB disclosed.
The Pakistan Cricket Board had asked the former cricketer to serve as the batting consultant for the Pakistan team. His responsibilities entailed him to work in the camp with the cricketers along with accompanying them to New Zealand. Other conditions included
that he will be required to work under coach Waqar Younis and will not under any circumstances coach the players without taking Waqar Younis into confidence.
These conditions did not go down too well with the former captain of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 team, who has also coached the national team thrice in the past.
"If his conditions are not met by the Board under which he wants work with the team, then he might just prefer to help out in the training camp and not go to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754," the source said.
The team manager of Pakistan Intikhab Alam has also said that he is unaware about the availability of Miandad as batting coach for the side as this was an issue between Miandad and the PCB.
Waqar Younis is expected to reach the camp in Lahore on the 8th of December from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
