The Sporting Gijon manager has admitted that playing a match against Barcelona at the Nou Camp will be the toughest test for his side this season.
Sporting Gijon will play their next La Liga fixture against Barcelona, at the Nou Camp.
Clemente’s men are currently 2 points adrift from European qualification, in the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings and they will be hoping for a satisfactory result in Saturday’s game.
With many considering Sporting to be the underdogs prior to the match, their trainer has conceded that it would be quite hard for the Rojiblancos to secure a victory against a strong La Blaugrana side
Although Real Madrid have been the finest performers in the Spanish La Liga this season, Clemente has taken out time to appreciate the Catalan giants, accepting that Barcelona are the best team in the world and it is nearly impossible to beat them
at home.
Even though Barcelona seem to have surrendered the Liga BBVA title to their rivals, Real Madrid, it can be deduced without a doubt that they remain to be footballing juggernauts, not only in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 but also in Europe.
"Against Madrid you have more opportunities because you have the ball more than against Barcelona, and the play is more open," Javier Clemente was quoted as saying to AS.
"At Camp Nou you have the ball for about 12 minutes in a game; 12 minutes to do what you can and then pray. We will try to control the ball for 52 minutes, instead of 12 minutes."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, who was shown his fifth yellow card of the season in Barcelona’s previous match, will not feature for Pep Guardiola’s men on Saturday, due to suspension.
However, Clemente has insisted that it will make little difference to the onslaught of the Spanish Champions.
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 are characterised by the large number of players they have. If Messi doesn't play, or whoever, it does not matter, the rest are all internationals. Whoever replaces Messi is also a star," he added.
Many have observed that Barcelona should have little difficulty in securing a victory in their match against Gijon.
