Javier Hernandez delighted with the dream goal
Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is relishing his wonder strike against Valencia which pushed the Red Devils to the top of their Champions league table. Hernandez came on as a 80th minute substitute for Anderson and combined well with another second
half substitute Federico Macheda to find the only goal of a otherwise boring encounter at Mestalla.
This was the first Champions league goal for the young Mexican, who only joined Manchester United this summer. The Mexican now believes that his first Champions league goal would be one of many more to come as he lives his dream by playing for Manchester
United.
Chicharito was played fairly well from the edge of the penalty area by Kiko Macheda. The 23 year old was surrounded by two defenders but he managed to pave enough space to unleash a strong finish, giving the goal keeper no chance. It was an otherwise dull
night in Spain as there were no shots on target in the first half but Hernandez’s goal has given United the much needed chance to top the group. Valencia and United were the two favourites in the group and with an away win against the Spanish table tops, United
would want to wrap things up against Turkish Champions Burasapor next time in the Champions league.

"It was a great night. I am so happy about the goal but also it was important to get the win and three points. I am glad I was able to play my part in the win. But our defence was very solid tonight. We appreciate that as players up front," claimed the 23 year
old Mexican. Netting his first goal in the Champions league is a dream come true for Chicha, who never thought of playing for such a competition back in his time with Chivas.

The player claimed that he was a huge fan of the Champions league and used to watch the tournament back in Mexico. He added that the Champions league is one of the most elite tournaments on the planet and finding the net so early in his career with Manchester
United was nothing less than a dream come true and has hugely boosted his confidence.
The 85th minute winner from Hernandez came from the best move of the match for the visitors and Hernandez outlined that it was really special for Nani to hold the ball before playing it to Macheda. Macheda then managed an inch perfect pass for
the Mexican, who just couldn’t miss. To his somewhat hilarious “face-goal” at Wembley against Chelsea in August to his first goal in the Champions league, Hernandez keeps on improving and looks to keep on learning.

"I am settling in well in Manchester. I have been learning and working hard because I want to do well here, I am very motivated. I am enjoying it, it's great to be a United player, and I want it to continue for a long time.", claimed Javier Chicharito Hernandez.
With Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney not available for selection for atleast two weeks, it would be upto youngsters like Federico Macheda, Javier Hernandez and other substitutes to step up and make a name for themselves. It wouldn’t be a surprise
if Ferguson chooses to play Hernandez along with Dimitar Berbatov in the next premier league fixture against Sunderland in the Stadium of light. With their 1-0 victory against Valencia, United would be looking for their 2nd away win of the season
having registered 3 draws in the premier league so far.
