Javier Hernandez in dreamland

The new exciting striker at Manchester United, Javier Hernandez is expecting big things at his new club, and hopes that he can achieve some good success at Old Trafford so that he can be a role model for young Mexican players who have an ambition of playing for the top clubs in Europe.
The Premier League is arguably the most popular league in the word, and players from all across Europe and South America have earned great success here. Still there has been no one from Mexico yet who has made it big in England.
Arsenal’s young Carlos Vela has not been able to make a big name for himself till now, and Giovani De Santos also did not have the best of times at Tottenham and was eventually loaned out by the London club last season.
Guillermo Franco who played in West Ham was also not in the headlines much as his team fought hard to avoid relegation last season. If one goes a bit further back in history there was Jared Borgetti who spent some time at Bolton under Sam Allardyce and even he did not make much of a name.
However, all the players from Mexico who have not been able to make their mark in English football did not deter Hernandez from making the journey from Mexico to Old Trafford.
The 22 year old striker has already made an impression at Old Trafford by scoring in the Community Shield against Chelsea. When the youngster made his first appearance from the bench in the match against Newcastle the loud cheer at Old Trafford was clear evidence of how much the United Faithfuls admire him already. Hernandez says he is keen to prove that a Mexican player can make his mark in English football and motivate others to follow his trail.
Hernandez said that when he was a little boy, he always admired English football and wanted to be part of it. He said it is a dream come true for him and he will do his all to make sure he makes the most of it.
Hernandez said that proving his worth is not the only thing on his mind. He said if he does his job well and helps the club win big things in future, English clubs will be inclined to look into young Mexican players and more youngsters from his country will be able to take part in the Premier League.
Hernandez said that when he was growing up, he used to look up to players like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, and he cannot believe that he is actually playing alongside them. He said that players like these are the perfect idols for young players, the amount of dedication and determination they have is a lesson for any budding player. He said that he has always been a fan of Manchester United and followed players like Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo, he added that he always wanted to be like them and now is his chance.
Javier Hernandez was the first signing for Manchester United this season, and as soon as the fans heard about an unknown player from Mexico playing for United. Instantly there were cries of Ferguson being short handed by the Glazers as far as funds were concerned. When the World Cup began and he showed what he could do right in the first game against South Africa, the anxiety turned into excitement for all and now he is one of the most loved United players among fans.
