Javier Hernandez surprised by his own performances for Manchester United - English Premier League
Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has admitted that he never thought he would have such a successful debut season with the Red Devils.
Hernandez is having a stellar campaign with United so far. The Mexican has scored 16 goals for the club already, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. While most of his goals have come from substitute appearances, Hernandez is starting to prove he
is not just a ‘super-sub’.
The striker singlehandedly fired his side into the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, scoring both goals in the 2-1 win against Marseille in the round-of-16 encounter against the French outfit.
He is rapidly earning himself a reputation in England. It is something that even the man himself finds hard to believe.
Speaking on his first season for the Red Devils, Hernandez said, “I have done better than I thought I would. I found it harder at the start but the fans have welcomed me from my first day and that gave me a lot of confidence.”
He added, “But I wouldn't say it has been easier. Nothing in life is easy.”
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mexico-c2956 International revealed the secret to his success, admitting that he has started visiting the gym in order to cope with the physically demanding nature of the Premier League.
Hernandez continued, “Physically I have got a lot stronger. I go to the gym a lot. It is not because I like it. It is something I needed to do because the English league is quicker and more physical."
The Mexican’s performances are one of the main reasons Manchester United find themselves in such a formidable position in the league, and Hernandez hopes that he can eventually help his side all the way to the finish line, warning that there is still a long
way to go before the end of the season.
Manchester United are currently leading the Premier League standings with 60 points, three more than closest competitors http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-Maseru-c38430. Arsenal do have a game in hand, however, if Hernandez keeps finding the back of the net, the Red Devils are almost surely on
their way to edge past Arsenal to their 19th Premier League crown.
